Guided visits
The Pier Luigi Rosso Cheese Factory promotes the development and the knowledge of the Biellese territory offering the possibility to visit the factory and the surrounding mountain pastures. One can better understand the values that are linked to the traditional cheeses from the Biella area coming to see the various phases of the working process of the cheese making.
Who wants to know how the Maccagno or the Toma Biellese “is made” can book a guided visit at our factory.
1) The guided visits are held from Monday to Friday;
2) To book and to know the costs one must send a request within 30 days in advance to Fax N. 0152563600

3) The visit of the factory is scheduled as follows:
- visit to the cheese factory
– it takes about one hour
– starts at 9.00 a.m.
- transfer to the maturation deposit in high Elvo Valley
- about 15 minutes
- visit of the maturation deposit
– about 1 hour
- visit at the cowshed, in July, August and until the middle of September it is possible to see the animals grazing on the hills
– about 2 hours with transfers.
Optional
- tranfer to the under agreement restaurant
- 10 minutes lunch with cheese tasting
4) Visits are in Italian but there is also the possibility to have traslators in other languages
